These are plastic footman loops. They are NOT for heavy duty applications. However, they are great for light duty applications. These plastic footman loops are especially great around salt water where stainless steel is too pricey. These are made for use with 1-1/2" webbing. They will work with 1" webbing, especially if they are a simple restraint. If you are using it to secure a load, then you should stick with the 1-1/2" web.
